Tansi,
I’m Laura Creswell, founder of Creswell Consulting. Since 2015, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside First Nations communities on a variety of capital planning and infrastructure projects as an engineer. These experiences have deeply shaped both my personal and professional growth, and I am so grateful for the trust and opportunities I’ve been given along the way.
Creswell Consulting grew out of my deep love for First Nations communities and a strong desire to serve. These communities have helped me understand myself, acknowledge the gifts Creator gave me, and through ceremony and teachings, have realized that we are all related and need to be there for each other.
My goal through my company is to work alongside First Nation's communities to support them in achieving the best possible outcomes from their funding and industry partnerships. Through my years of working in this industry, I noticed a gap in the "in-house" engineering support available to First Nations in planning, design, and construction projects. Through Creswell Consulting, I hope to offer more focused and unbiased support that truly centers on the needs and interests of these communities.
Through this journey, I’m committed to providing practical engineering advice that helps First Nations bring their development visions to life. By working together, we can create space for collaboration and make meaningful change.
This mark is the mono logo for Creswell Consulting, a small but meaningful symbol of the work I do and the values I hold close in every partnership with community.
I believe it’s important to share how this logo came to be because symbols carry stories and this one reflects the relationships, purpose, and care that guide my work. It’s not just a design; it’s a reminder of the deeper "why" behind me.
The crescent on the left is a quiet nod to my primary logo, a subtle echo of the “Creswell Consulting” wordmark I use every day. The bird represents momentum, the lift that comes when a project begins to take flight. The curves of the mountains and land, along with the shifting gradient represent weaving of past, present, and future work.
At the center, the bridge connects mirrored roads, a symbol of translation and interconnectedness, helping bridge voices, systems, and perspectives that don’t always meet naturally. Flowing beneath it is water, a reminder that water is life, and that life - the wellbeing of the people in each community — is at the core of everything I do.
My work is about more than technical support. It’s about listening, walking alongside, and building real friendships along the way. That’s what gives my work meaning, and that’s what I carry into everything I do.
